Getting There & Around

Flights

For our out of town guests...

There are three major airport options: Burbank (BUR), Los Angeles (LAX), and Orange County (SNA).

Burbank is the closest airport and is probably best for those coming from nearby (e.g. West Coast). LAX will be the cheapest for long haul flights (NY, Hawaii, etc.). SNA is pretty far and should be avoided unless flights are an absolute steal.

Getting Around

For transportation around town or on the day of the event, we strongly recommend Uber and Lyft . If you use the invitation codes given (included in the links), you'll receive a free ride up to $25 with the respective service.

If everyone in your party joins using the codes above (just use the link to sign up on your smartphone), you can ride free the whole weekend and avoid having to rent a car.

Transit
We also recommend using local transit. The LA Metro system is a great way to get around town and to avoid parking hassles and notorious LA traffic.

If you are staying at the Marriott Courtyard, the
Memorial Park Metro Gold Line light rail station is located one block from the hotel.

From here, it's a quick 15 to 20 minute ride into Chinatown, Little Tokyo, and other fun places. The last train back to Pasadena is around 12am (depending on station). You can purchase TAP cards at the station for $1. A day pass is $7 ($2.50 seniors 62+) and includes free transfers on Metro buses and other light rail lines system wide. Cash fares are $1.75 OW ($0.75 seniors).
